Maximus 2 comes with a straightforward control scheme that facilitates combat against enemies attempting to damage the kingdom. The first level takes place on a road that the enemy has destroyed; you must rescue the player and eliminate the enemy forces in order to win the level. At the same time, players have easy access to the beat-em-up component of this game through basic control mechanics. In 2D, monsters appear to try and destroy the player.
