Citra Emulator can interface with many different games thanks to the extensive compatibility it has with multiple games. All you need to do is your favorite games and place them in specific folders. After choosing games, the app inserts them into an emulator.

You can change the default speed limit of Citra Emulator by accessing its general settings. You can choose between a high or low speed limit percentage. Choosing the default speed percentage of 100% will keep emulation at normal speeds. You can choose higher values for these settings to increase the emulation speed or choose lower values to decrease it. Most people should choose the default value of 100% to keep playing stable.

Emulated regions, languages and clock types are possible on Citra Emulator. Additionally, they call on their community to hands and report any bugs in order to improve the project. The emulator was first developed in April of 2014. It was initially used to run The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Sonic Generation. In December 2015, the emulator was able to run Pokemon games and series like Sun and Moon. It's been possible to play all Nintendo 3DS games on the Citra emulator, with very few exceptions. However, the emulator can currently only be used on Windows, macOS and Linux computers.
